Payments to the general account are for fees earned and invoiced, and for reimbursement of costs advanced. This will be the most commonly used link.
Payments to the trust account are for prepayment of fees and costs (e.g., retainers), payment of probate fees prior to court approval, funds belonging to third parties, and funds subject to any other restriction.
